What They Say
EXCELLENT Based on 9 reviews Posted on Buddy FlerlTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I discovered Bache at Capital Audio Fest several years ago. Finally got a pair of Tribecas from Greg and tested them in a very difficult room (odd geometry/high ceilings) - which now sounds like a recording studio with the Tribecas. The architecture of these speakers is unique, very efficient, and they outclass the Focal Aria 936s they displaced! Greg is a great guy, extremely responsive and makes some cool gear.Posted on Dan MoyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After three months of researching over 30 speakers (I auditioned the O Audio Icon 12s, Klipsch Forte & Cornwall, and Spendor D9, among others), I finally bought the Bache Audio Sofia-104s. I was looking for detail and solid bass at moderate volumes to keep the music great without annoying my family, and these are perfect. I was sold the moment I first heard them. The imaging is stunning, the mids/highs are crystal clear, and the bass is deep. Listening to Midnight by Yaz literally made the hair on my neck stand up. I'm finally getting full detail and solid bass at low volumes—a subwoofer is totally unnecessary. For placement, angling them in at 25 degrees gave the best image, and the super tweeter adds a noticeable sparkle to cymbals, which you can easily adjust. Gregory at Bache is a low-key guy who builds a great speaker and follows up to make sure you're happy. I would note that these are truly hand-crafted, which is a distinction from mass-produced models. The clarity is so good it highlight flaws in my equipment. I had to service my preamp right away, and I've also realized my powerful amp is completely overkill. An integrated amp upgrade is next on the list.Posted on Guy BradyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I stumbled on the Bache Audio showroom while out running an errand in the area. Without an appointment, and despite being interrupted in the middle of his work, Mr. Belman was happy to do an impromptu demo session of two floor standing speaker models for me and I was absolutely blown away by the sound quality and experience. I haven’t purchased a pair yet but I am very enthusiastic about selecting a pair of Bache Audio speakers for my next upgrade.Posted on Ken JablonskiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I purchased Bache speakers a few years ago, the model is Tribeca 001. I have been an audio enthusiast for decades and I can happily report that after dozens of speakers the Tribeca are the BEST that have ever graced my home. Greg, the owner of Bache, is the nicest, most knowledgeable and customer oriented person of any business that I've purchased from . Highly recommend, I would give 10 stars if that was an option. Thank you Greg for your ongoing support and amazing care. Demo & BUY today, your ears and soul (music is food for the soul)will thank you. Much Peace and happy listeningPosted on Rafael Shlomo KrakanovskiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was looking for a good set of bookshelf speakers and spent a lot of time listening to various different bookshelf, speakers by many different manufacturers. I almost settled on Sonus Faber, and at the last minute, I found Bache audio and the moment I heard them I was sold! I couldn’t believe the crisp, clear, and airy these speakers. The sound stage is amazing and they sound like they are a much larger speaker. On top of all this, the owner Mr. Belman is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and when I told him the size and color of his speakers, didn’t match my living room, he made me a brand new custom set bookshelf speakers. Amazing experience from A-z and I highly recommend these speakers to anyone and everyone!Posted on Cellerino BernardinoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Several months ago Greg Belman emailed me to say that he had figured out a crossover upgrade that would improve the sound of my Bache Audio Metro 001 speakers, which I was already very happy with. More recently he emailed me to say that he had tested an Eton woofer in the Metro 001 as an upgrade over the stock Tang Band unit. The Eton produces both deeper and tighter bass but requires modifying the port. I asked if he could also replace the air motion transformer tweeter with the Fostex FT96-EX2 he has used in some models, and rewire the speakers with Stage III Concepts (tweeter) and Dueland tinned copper (wideband driver and woofer). When I finally drove up to Brooklyn to take him my speakers I discovered that he had built and tested a prototype with the Eton and Fostex drivers that I could listen to and compare head to head with my current speakers. Needless to say upgrading those two drivers made a significant improvement. I have them back home and they are still breaking in, but it is already clear that with the Eton woofers bass is deeper, more forceful, and more articulate. Greg told me that the Fostex FT96-EX2 tweeters would expand soundstage width and depth, and that is what I am hearing. Timbre is more realistic across all frequencies (particularly noticeable with piano), and images are more naturally fleshed out with no spotlighting. Every piece of music I've played has sounded more natural than I remembered. Kudos to Greg Bellman who clearly loves what he does and is constantly trying to improve his products.Posted on Jim DaltoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was impressed with Bache's Lexington speaker at the New York Audio Show this past November I decided to go to Bache's showroom in Brooklyn and take a listen to the Tribeca speakers. To make a long story short, I took delivery of my pair about 10 days ago. I have owned many speakers including Thiel, ProAc, Verity, Coincident, Rethm, Nola, Shahinian, and I still own Quad 57s and Audio Physic Tempo Plus speakers. These Bache speakers are music makers; very coherent, perfectly balanced from top to bottom, have tight, articulate bass, and throw off a huge 3 dimensional soundstage. Having lived with PK rebuilt Quad ESLs for many years I'm very sensitive to the midrange. The Tribeca's have a beautiful midrange that's very smooth and transparent with absolutely no fatigue. Greg Belman is wonderful to deal with and is very enthusiastic about his speakers.
